General impression:
To go to the premiere of this movie (“Alice in Wonderland”, Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Anne Hathaway, “in amazing 3D”) I sacrificed some peace. I was in the middle of changing homes, moving stuff, very tired, but I insisted I wanted to go to the premiere. So everything came to a halt, and, instead of going to sleep, I went to the cinema. Hmm… I thought it was nice that “Alice in Wonderland” makes sense, despite being famously attributed to nonsense literature, but… I regretted rushing to see this movie. I could have waited for the DVD.
Highlights:
Visually lovely.
Downside:
Really bland for such visuals.
Would I see it again? – Maybe… on a themed movie marathon, with a kid, by accident, or in any other circumstance that involves someone else’s wish to see it.
My Rating (1 to 10): 6.5
Recommended: Yes… and no
Suggestion:
Don’t regret not seeing it in 3D. You didn’t miss as much as you would imagine.
