General impression:
Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe?! I had doubts. Apparently she had too, but, fortunately, she went on to finish this project, and I’m glad she did. She is a good actress and a pretty woman, but, looking at her, you don’t see Marilyn’s sex-symbol voluptuousness… unless you see this movie. She filled the part wonderfully, and glowed from the inside in Monroe colors. She even filled those Marilyn dresses to meet the curvy expectations. She didn’t only act, she became her part. Of course, there is more to this movie, but Williams steals the show – how very Marilyn Monroe of her! 🙂
Highlights:
Michelle Williams’ performance.
Downside:
It may seem boring and somewhat plain to some.
Would I see it again? – Yes, someday
My Rating (1 to 10): 8
Recommended: Yes
Suggestion:
Watch “The Prince and the Showgirl” with Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe.
