General impression:
A very good thriller, despite the fact that I could figure it all out from the very beginning, ending and moral included. For a moment (near the end) I thought I might had been wrong, but, no, I was not :D. Like the poster illustrates, it is about putting your puzzle pieces in place, buuut, I won’t spoil it for you. Elements of tension and surprise are mounted on a simple and clean structure, and their edges are skillfully blurred into a whole that may seem more complicated than it truly is. Smart and enjoyable, this movie gives Michael Douglas’ acting talent a showcase in which to shine.
Highlights:
Everything about “The Game” is well done – from directing to acting, and the other way around. And it doesn’t promise more than it delivers 🙂
Downside:
Nothing major.
Would I see it again? – Yes, someday, in 10 years… if I don’t forget about it 🙂
My Rating (1 to 10): 8
Recommended: Yes
Suggestion:
If you like thrillers and you get the chance to see this movie, don’t miss it.
