General impression:
Sometimes the one closest to you, is the main obstacle in your path to evolution; some other times you alone are. And when hurt and oppression become unbearable, with no hope for change in sight, even death becomes a risk worth taking toward liberation. I was very impressed with this movie; it moved me deeply. It’s a beautifully clean and sad story about confinement in comfort, shattered dreams, weakness, conventions, lack of unity in marriage, profound solitude, quiet despair, what makes a marriage work, and what doesn’t. It shows the distress of a marriage in which the two have contradictory values, their hearts breaking right in front of you. And, like most of the times in real life, none of the two is the villain. Each is suffering, misunderstood, alone…
Highlights:
The acting, the story, the music, the movie as a whole.
Downside:
It might be too subtle, incomprehensible and/or sad for some.
Would I see it again? – Yes, and I already did 🙂
My Rating (1 to 10): 9.5
Recommended: Yes
Suggestion:
You shouldn’t watch it purely for entertainment. It may shake you inside.
