General impression:
This movie is not randomly a classic, but totally deserves it; it has all the elements, presented with the means of its time. Elegant in all aspects, always a pleasure to watch.
Highlights:
It’s part story, part reality, part romance, part history… and it all falls in place gracefully. Memorable characters and scenes.
Downside:
It’s black and white (?) – although I find that charming. Some may find it obsolete, but then again, when you watch a film made in the 1940s, you don’t expect “Avatar”.
Would I see it again? – Yes
My Rating (1 to 10): 8
Recommended: Yes
Suggestion:
If you haven’t seen it yet, and you get the occasion, don’t miss it 🙂
